Giovanni Briganti
MD, PhD – Chair of AI and Digital Medicine, University of Mons
Giovanni Briganti is a medical doctor and AI scientist. He is a professor and chair of AI and digital medicine at the University of Mons and professor of digital health the University of Liège. He also lectures on Biostatistics and medical informatics at Université libre de Bruxelles.
Dr. Briganti leads the Belgian federal initiative AI4Health at AI4Belgium.
Marc Czarka
General Manager Vivactis HM3A
Dr. Marc Czarka, specialist in pharmaceutical medicine, has more than 20 years’ experience in three of the top 15 pharmaceutical companies, in local as well as European assignments. His experience includes medical and pharmaceutical affairs, market access as well as business development, governmental affairs, communication, and crisis management. Dr. Czarka was general manager of several consultancies from 2005 onwards before joining Vivactis in 2018 to become the global general manager of the market access business unit (Vivactis-HM3A)
In addition, Dr. Czarka was a visiting faculty member at INSEAD. He was also a scientific contributor at ULB (Free University Brussels) within the department of Health Economics at the School of Public Health and still teaches market access and health economics in several post graduate programs at ULB.

Ann-Kathrin Weigand
Senior Consultant Flying Health
Ann-Kathrin (Weigand) is Senior Consultant at Flying Health. In her role, she works on capturing and analyzing the latest trends in Digital Health and Next Generation Healthcare to make insights available to the Flying Health ecosystem. With her in-depth knowledge and a strong expertise in Digital Health, Ann-Kathrin accompanies and advises various Flying Health corporate partners, especially in the Pharma and startup sector, in developing new strategies, products, and business models. Ann-Kathrin studied Biology and Biomedical Sciences in Marburg and Maastricht.
Lina Temimi
Market Access Manager Vivactis HM3A
Lina graduated with a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in Belgium. She completed her master thesis with a “magna cum laude” in the field of digital health. The subject of the thesis was “The Introduction of Innovative Digital Health Technologies in the Belgian Healthcare System – A comparison with other European Healthcare Systems.” This master thesis focuses on three aspects regarding the introduction of digital health technologies, more specifically the implementation of Electronic Health Records, Telemedicine and Mobile apps within the healthcare system of Belgium, France and Germany. It also included a description of the new initiatives presented by the European commission regarding the European Health Data Space. Lina was an intern for a year and a half within the Health Economic & Market Access department of one of the top 10 global pharmaceutical companies within the Medical Devices division. She also holds a Specialized Master in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Rome Business School. Lina joined Vivactis HM3A in May 2023.
Nick Marly
Advisor at the Cabinet of Minister of Public Health and Social Affairs in Belgium
Nick Marly is an engineer and mathematician by training, and after several years of research and teaching both academically and privately, he has been actively involved in digitalisation in the social sector and public health sector for more than 20 years including 3 years as ICT manager of FPS PHFCSE and 10 years of NIHDI. Since late 2020, he has been advisor to the Minister of Social Affairs and Public Health, following the domains of eHealth and Health Data and is also actively involved in the management of the CoVID-19 pandemic and the creation of the Health Data Agency.
